Seth's words at 14 months

Still need to catch up on a few posts (and take more current pictures! But here's a text update. 

Seth: He isn't talking as much as Ada did at this age. He completely understands what's going on though, and is making lots of sounds. Multiple people have told us their boys didn't talk much until 2, but then when they did it was a much steeper learning curve than their girls. We'll see. Anyway, I did a similar post for Ada at around this age, so here goes. 

Seth signs:
milk (maybe just for nursing?)

He raises his hand or hands to the questions "how big is Seth? SO big" and "Who's the king?" The latter is from Pablo at daycare but is pretty funny.

Seth is our yes man, his favorite word is "yeah, yeah, yeah" with emphatic nods. Mostly in answer to the question "do you want milk?" or yogurt, or blueberries, grapes... He understands "milk from mama" is different from a bottle. 

he does also say "ma, ma, ma" which generally means more. 
also "ba" which can mean either book or ball. He excels at pointing so it's generally clear which he means!

He understands do you want to take a bath, go outside... and follows instructions like go get your shoes, go say night night to daddy and Ada. 

Happy boy, though more intense than Ada and gets angry if he doesn't get what he wants. He still doesn't sleep through the night, though he's getting longer stretches lately and learning to go to sleep without bouncing. He has all 8 front teeth and 3 of 4 of the first set of molars. so one molar and incisors to go and all will be well... or so we tell ourselves. He sleeps in our room at the moment but has a twin mattress on the floor with Ada, with the hope that it will be more comfortable and he'll sleep better. Probably wishful thinking but we'll try it eventually. 

Ada: She says ALL the words, as far as I can tell. She is such a great girl. Curious, tolerant, happy and energetic. She likes art projects (mostly with Gladys), games, puzzles, park trips, bubbles. She LOVES her brother Seth, a little too much. We can't seem to get her to stop trying to carry him around and do what she wants. He doesn't often complain, but still. 

They're both taking swim lessons at Floaties, which is warmer, better,and more expensive than UCSD. After about 6 weeks, Seth is probably ahead of Ada since he's not scared of the water. Ada goes to gymnastics at UCSD as well, and she likes that and does really well there.
