outings

Recent outings. These were all pre-potty training, I did the entries in the wrong order.

Swap meet: an overwhelming amount of family stuff, clothing, gear, etc. Ty's Komen team had a booth there so we came by to shop (again, overwhelming for a non-shopper like me) and "help" at the booth. Ada tried on a sport coat. pretty cute.

We went to our neighbors next door for Mark's birthday. They have a 3 year old girl; Ada really likes going over there and "share Lauren's toys." There were a few older girls there as well so great food for us and fun for Ada.

Our friends Thao and Hai's daughter Linh turned one year old and they went all out with a food truck, a bounce house, and a Very Hungry Caterpillar themed cake that was beautiful.

Here is Ada advertising for juice boxes.

The outing the prompted the potty training...2 kids in diapers doesn't work. We went over to Roger and Dora's for dinner. Roger was Ty's and my boss up at Marina in Seattle, but he moved down to San Diego for biotech work as well. They have a beautiful new house up in Carlsbad and are just finishing the landscaping on it. They planted great fruit trees as well as a fountain and fire pit so we're jealous of their yard. Citrus, pomegranate (though we're working on that one on our deck!), and avocado. Their neighbors were there as well. It was a great time, with the exception of bad diaper bag packing. I have had the bag packed for Seth's outings during the week. So, when Ada filled her diaper we were left without. Ty managed to get a size 1 of Seth's on Ada which caught a little bit. After a bit we admitted our error since we needed to leave. Randomly, Roger and Dora had a diaper to give us so all was well and we could stay. How embarrassing. I guess we have the new infant lack-of-sleep-brain excuse.

They also have a big clock that chimes too loudly for Ada. She talked about the loud clock for days.
