End of summer!

August! A few events and a bunch of pictures. 

Seth driving Rachel's car. They love sitting in the front. We don't like to let them since it usually means crying to get them out.

Each bloom is in a bunch, and each stem will flower and fall off, so it flowers for a long time.

Grandma and Grandpa got to go on an Alaska cruise and gave the kids each a T-shirt. I tried to get them to pose together with them, but Seth was obviously not cooperating

He did eventually come around. I probably bribed him with something but don't remember what.

Pretty picture. Another event with Mara and DJ that we didn't document much! This is on Mara's parents' rooftop deck in Del Mar. Beautiful view, and we were there at sunset so the light was great. Thanks for the invite and great to see you twice in a month's time!!

Ada and Seth's first baseball game. We kept them there too late, but it was fun and there was some distraction for them.

Nighttime reading, Ada is into search and find (and Seth is starting to figure them out too). Love my daddy.

We decided to move Ada from home daycare with Gladys to a preschool. Gladys has been great (and still is with Seth) but we wanted Ada to have more space and a few more kids her age. She really likes it there and I think it was a good decision. There were a few weeks of rough drop-offs, but she seems happy there now and talks about all the fun things she does and a few friends. 

First day!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!! We are not really very good at celebrating birthdays (or other traditions in general). Ada helped me make some little cakes though, and it's always great to sing and blow out candles.

We got to watch the neighbor girl Lauren one night so her parents could go see a play. She's just starting kindergarten, and is a really easy girl to take care of. We went in the loft and played with the puzzle mats and glow sticks
