First SoCal camping trip with Seth (and Ada)

We finally made it back out camping. The last time we went was for the Goodman reunion when Seth was a newborn. This time we went to Idyllwild just west of Palm Springs. It was great to be in a forested area (even though no fires were allowed because of the drought). We went with Shawna, Ryan, Ari, and Caden. We reserved 2 sites, but the campground was a pretty steep slope and one of the sites was scary with kids so we all stayed together.

We got in on Saturday afternoon, set up, cooked dinner, and then it was pretty much sunset...really nice sunset view from the campground.
Not pictured, we saw a snake in the campground so we spent half the night with spotty data trying to convince ourselves it wasn't a poisonous one.

The next day the kids played while breakfast was being made. Yay, trucks and dirt!

....and logs!

And even more dirt!
After we took down, we drove to the visitors' center and went for a few short hikes and had a picnic lunch.

King of the Stump? Seth!

Queen of the Stump? Ada!

Daddy, can I ride on your shoulders the rest of the way?
