Pumpkin day!

On Sunday before Halloween we went to Carlsbad to a pumpkin patch. We met some neighbors that live in our complex up there, which was great. You park and then ride on a wagon out to the little patch. We were late in the game so there weren't many left in the patch, but still some nice ones to buy.

Ada painting with our friends. They also have a girl and a boy, just a bit older than ours. At the pumpkin patch, there was a painting station, so you could buy little pumpkins and paint them.

Big enough so no  feet are touching the ground.

Ari found a beetle!

Seth as always wanted in on the action

So he went and found some yellow paint.

Cute strawberry and farmer!

Our pumpkin was apparently over ripe, and had sprouted. We planted the sprouts and currently have a number of pumpkin plants on our deck!

Cleaning out the goopy seeds

Carving. Ada said she wanted a bat, so Ty drew that. Ada drew the face though and Ty cut it out.

We put in a color-changing LED candle (my labor candles, ha!) and Ada thought they were great, she just sat and watched it and called out the colors as they changed.

Ada's first jack-o-lantern!
